HVXLII | Electronic Press Kit

HVXLII is the Salt Lake City artist making unapologetically queer electronic alt-pop that is impossible to categorize and impossible to ignore.

Bio

HVXLII (pronounced "Huxley") is a Salt Lake City-based producer, songwriter, and vocalist operating at the intersection of electronic music, alt-pop, and unapologetically queer artistry. His music lives where power and surrender coexist — where the aesthetics of queer kink culture collide with the precision of avant-garde pop production. Bringing the commanding vocal presence of Bill Kaulitz and the fearless theatricality of Adam Lambert to a sonic world shaped by the industrial tension of Nine Inch Nails, the hypnotic precision of FKA Twigs, the delicate minimalism of oklou, and the pop architecture of Max Martin, HVXLII makes music that lives on the edge of transgression without ever losing its grip on melody.

His international profile spans two high performing collaborations — "Dear Gravity" with DJ Xquizit and "Paradise" on Sony Music imprint disco:Wax — alongside a feature on Roman Messer's album Ambition. In 2026, he was named one of fifteen global runner-ups in Kesha and Smash Music's Open Verse Competition, earning features across their official platforms worldwide.

A songwriter at his core, his work is rooted in queer BDSM culture not as provocation but as honest artistic language — music that invites the listener to sit with love, discomfort, desire, and ultimately, themselves.

“Every time I find myself listening to a track from HVXLII, I find myself stepping into a sonic atmosphere where the vibe feels immaculate and beautiful. I adore the way that HVXLII delivers his vocals on each song that he creates, with stunning harmonies and layering atop production that perfectly compliments them.” - Bryce Quartz

“Do chains and whips excite you? Did FKA twigs’ latest album awaken your “24hr Dog” and submissive fantasies? Or do Oklou’s choke enough and Lady Gaga’s Mayhem have you fiending for more EDM-infused pop music? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you probably would’ve been lobotomized in the ‘50s — and HVXLII has a hot, raunchy new track for you! Using rhythmic synths, the Salt Lake City-based pop/rock vocalist and DJ revives a filthy pop duet, originally performed by Rihanna and Britney Spears. Serving bright and resonant Adam Lambert-esque vocals begging to be chained up, whipped and gagged, this remix of a remix is one for all the local deviants on FetLife, the pretty rave girls and gays who prefer Club Try-Angles. In our red state where oral and anal were still illegal for nine years after bad gal Riri first gave us “S&M,” HVXLII gives Utahns a second chance to catch up to the culture — so don’t miss out this time” - Arthur Diaz
